Education Guide of Central Florida Art Contest
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR Drawing/Painting
The theme of the Drawing/Painting should relate to“NATURE MAKES ME HAPPY”.
• Drawing/Painting must be the student’s original, hand drawn creation and may not be traced or copied from photographs or another artist’s published works.
• Computers or other mechanical devices may not be used in creating the Drawing/Painting. Computer generated art, photography or photographic art is not permitted. Air brush is permitted.
• All Drawings/Paintings MUST be completed and sized to fit inside the framed area designated for the Drawing/Painting on the other side of this Entry Form. Do not staple or fold completed Drawing/Painting.
2023 EDUCATION GUIDE ART CONTEST RULES NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The ART
CONTEST runs from February 10, 2023 - April 10, 2023. To enter the ART CONTEST, contestants must be (a) a student enrolled in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade in a school located in the State of Florida in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia and Polk Counties (including virtual school and homeschool), and (b) a legal United States resident of Florida with a unique, personal and valid social security number at time of entering this Contest.
Employees, directors, volunteers, and supervisory committee members of the ART CONTEST (”The Sponsors”), their affiliated companies, parent subsidiaries, service partners and advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, “ART CONTEST Entities”), and their IRS dependents, immediate families (i.e. parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of their households (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate in this ART CONTEST.
Only completed Entry Forms will be accepted. Limit one (1) entry per student. Once submitted, entries and artwork become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By entering, contestants and their parents/guardians give their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by phone, mail or email. By entering this contest, contestants and their parent/guardians give express permission for the contestant’s artwork, name, age, grade, school name and photos of contestant to be featured in various print and online media (at the sole discretion of the Sponsors.
Students wishing to enter the ART CONTEST should (i) fully complete (or have an adult complete) the written portion of the Entry Form, (ii) sign the Entry Form, (iii) have a parent or legal guardian sign the Entry Form, (iv) prepare a Drawing/Painting (“Drawing/Painting”), the requirements of which are described below, and (v)
submit by mail the completed Entry Form and Drawing/Painting to:

All Entry Forms and Drawing/Painting must be received by close of business on April 10, 2023. Neither Sponsor, nor any of its employees, representatives or agencies are responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, destroyed, misdirected, incomplete, or relate to “NATURE MAKES ME HAPPY.” Drawing/Painting with depictions of trademarked symbols will not be considered. Drawing/Painting must be the student’s original hand-drawn/ painted creation and may not be traced or copied from photographs or other artists’ published works. Photographs taken by the student may be used as references in the development of the design. Computers or other mechanical devices may not be used in creating the Drawing/Painting. Air brush is permitted. Please DO NOT STAPLE OR FOLD the completed Drawing/Painting. All Drawing/Painting must be the sole, original work and exclusive property of the submitting contestant. Drawing/Painting must not have been entered in any other competitions or have won previous awards or competitions.
A panel of judges appointed by Sponsors will judge the ART CONTEST. The ART CONTEST judges according to four (4) grade brackets: K - Grade 2; Grade 3 - Grade 5; Grade 6 - Grade 8; and Grade 9 - Grade 12. Four (4) First Place Prizes will be awarded (one First Place Prize in each Grade Bracket). First Place Prize consists of $100. Four (4) Second Place Prizes will be awarded (one Second Place Prize in each Grade Bracket). Second Place Prize consists of $50. Four (4) Third Place Prizes will be awarded (one Third Place Prize in each Grade Bracket). Third Place Prize consists of $25.
Winners will be notified by May 1, 2023. All decisions are based on the sole discretion of the Sponsors and its interpretation of these rules and are final and binding in all respects. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, as well as any other expenses related to acceptance and use of the prize. No prize substitution except at Sponsor’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided herein. Prizes are not transferable prior to award.
The parent or legal guardian of each winner (or prize winner, if he or she is of the age of majority) will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and a publicity release and other documents including but not limited to tax documents, as applicable, except where prohibited by law or assume any responsibility for any activities which may occur in connection with them.
Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia and Polk County School Boards are not affiliated with this contest/event/program in any manner, nor do they endorse or assume any responsibility for any activities which may occur in connection with this contest.
